Atlas Anti-Bleeding Gray Blocker is a bleed-blocking plastisol ink designed for use as an underbase on 100% polyester, polyester/cotton blends, and other textile fabrics where dye migration is a severe problem. The gray underbase creates a barrier beneath the printed colors to help reduce unwanted garment dyes from migrating into the finished design.
Its high-pigment, very opaque formulation provides strong coverage, while the creamy consistency makes the ink easy to work with during production. Atlas Anti-Bleeding Gray Blocker is also phthalate-free.
This blocker is especially useful when printing plastisol ink on polyester garments where dye migration can interfere with the appearance of the finished colors. Use it as an underbase before applying the desired top colors to provide additional protection against severe bleeding.
Because polyester fabrics, dyes, and garment constructions can vary, test the complete print and curing process before beginning production.
Recommended Fabrics:
100% Polyester or cotton/polyester blends. Use as an underbase for printing on light or dark colored polyester fabrics.
Ink Application:
Atlas Anti-Bleeding Gray must be printed without any modifications in order to maintain the best bleed resistance of the product. Thinning of this product is not recommended.
Screen Mesh and Emulsion:
83-160 t/in
Any direct or indirect lacquer resistant emulsion or 100-200 micron capillary film.
Squeegee:
65-70 Durometer, sharp edge.
60/90/60 or 70/90/70 Triple Durometer, sharp edge.
Cure Temperatures:
325°F entire ink film. Test dryer temperatures and wash test printed product before and during a production run.
Clean-Up:
Any environmentally friendly plastisol screen wash.
Storage:
Recommended storage between 65°F and 90°F. Avoid storage in direct sunlight and keep containers well sealed.
