Ulano Orange Emulsion Gallon is a ready-to-use SBQ photopolymer direct emulsion formulated for imprinted sportswear screen printing. Designed for efficient stencil production, Ulano Orange combines ultra-fast exposure with high solids content and high viscosity for controlled coating, fast drying, and strong stencil performance. Its distinctive orange color functions as a high-contrast masking color that helps reduce light scattering and preserve stencil resolution.
Light scattering is a major cause of lost resolution during screen exposure, and the masking color in Ulano Orange helps prevent fine lines and details from closing up. This anti-halation property allows screen printers to use less costly white mesh while maintaining fine image detail. Despite its orange masking color, the emulsion remains ultra-fast exposing, making it well suited for shops with high stencil-making throughput and shops using fluorescent tubes or other low-intensity exposure light sources.
Ulano Orange has a high viscosity of 6,000–8,000 CPS, providing improved control when coating screens by hand and making it a good choice for coarse mesh. Its 44–46% high solids content provides better mesh bridging and edge definition while supporting fast drying. The combination of high viscosity, high solids content, and high photosensitivity helps reduce stencil-making time throughout the coating, drying, and exposure stages.
Ulano Orange resists plastisol inks, most washup solvents, and some water-based textile inks. Finished Orange stencils are durable, provide excellent wet strength and exposure latitude, and resist becoming tacky under high-humidity conditions. The emulsion is also easy to reclaim after printing.
Ulano Orange has a manufacturer-listed shelf life of one year and is supplied in its characteristic orange color. The gallon size provides a larger quantity of the same ready-to-use Ulano Orange SBQ photopolymer formulation for screen printing shops with regular stencil-making and production needs.
