Ulano Orange Emulsion Quart is a ready-to-use SBQ photopolymer direct emulsion formulated for imprinted sportswear screen printing. Designed for fast and efficient stencil making, Ulano Orange combines ultra-fast exposure with a high solids content and high viscosity for controlled coating, fast drying, and dependable stencil production. Its distinctive orange color also functions as a high-contrast masking color that helps improve stencil resolution.
The orange masking color reduces light scattering, a major cause of lost resolution during screen exposure. This anti-halation property helps preserve fine lines and details while allowing screen printers to use less costly white mesh without sacrificing image quality. Despite its masking color, Ulano Orange remains ultra-fast exposing, making it particularly useful for screen printing shops with high stencil-making throughput as well as shops using fluorescent tubes or other low-intensity exposure light sources.
With a high viscosity of 6,000–8,000 CPS, Ulano Orange provides improved control when coating screens by hand and makes a good choice for coarse mesh. Its 44–46% high solids content provides better mesh bridging and edge definition while contributing to fast drying. Together, the high viscosity, high solids content, and high photosensitivity help reduce stencil-making time during coating, drying, and exposure.
Ulano Orange resists plastisol inks, most washup solvents, and some water-based textile inks. Orange stencils are durable, provide excellent wet strength and exposure latitude, and resist becoming tacky under high-humidity conditions. The emulsion is also easy to reclaim, allowing screens to be returned to the screen-making process after production.
Ulano Orange has a manufacturer-listed shelf life of one year and is supplied in its characteristic orange color. The quart size provides a convenient smaller quantity of the same ready-to-use Ulano Orange SBQ photopolymer formulation for screen printers looking for ultra-fast exposure, high solids, controlled coating, and reliable stencil performance.
