Franmar One Step Clear™ Ink + Emulsion Remover 5-Gallon is a concentrated screen reclaiming solution formulated for use in dip tanks to clean textile ink and emulsion from screens in one simple step. Designed to combine ink and emulsion removal into a single process, One Step Clear provides an efficient solution for screen printing shops that regularly reclaim screens.

One Step Clear removes traditional plastisol inks and UV inks along with emulsion from screen printing screens. The solution is designed for a recommended soaking time of only 3–5 minutes, helping streamline the reclaiming process before screens are transferred to the washout booth and rinsed with clean, pressurized water.

For dip tank use, dilute One Step Clear at a 6:1 ratio of six parts water to one part concentrate. Before submerging the screen, remove tape and excess ink. After soaking for 3–5 minutes, remove the screen from the solution and rinse it in a washout booth with clean, pressurized water. Soaking times may increase as the solution ages.

One Step Clear is formulated for extended use in a dip tank. Franmar states that the solution can last up to six months or clean approximately 300–600 screens before replacement, depending on use. When the solution is ready to be replaced, Franmar Neutralizer Powder can be mixed in to change the pH for safe drain disposal.

The 5-gallon size provides a larger supply of One Step Clear concentrate for screen printing shops using dip tanks as part of their regular reclaiming workflow. Its combination of ink and emulsion removal, concentrated 6:1 dilution, and short recommended soaking time helps simplify screen cleaning and reclaiming.

Q: What kinds of emulsions are recommended for use with Franmar cleaners?

A: Most emulsions will work with Franmar's line of cleaners. Keep in mind that Franmar's environmentally friendly cleaners require the use of water during the clean-up process, so having an emulsion with some water resistantce is important.

Q: Franmar cleaners are softening my emulsion. Why?

A: One posible cause for this is that the emulsion is not fully cured. Another possibility is that it's not actually the cleaner softening the emulsion, but the water that is used to rinse the screen. The emulsion used needs to have some water resistance to it.
