POLYCOL® CROSSOVER is a medium-high viscosity, pre-sensitized SBQ-photopolymer screen printing emulsion formulated for printing with plastisol, UV-curable, and mild solvent-based ink systems. It provides excellent resolution, very good mesh bridging, and great exposure latitude, making it suitable for fine detail and 4-color process printing. POLYCOL® CROSSOVER also develops quickly and easily, offers good coating ability on all common mesh counts used for garment printing, and has an exposure time approximately four times faster than diazo and dual-cure emulsions.
Unlike other SBQ-photopolymer emulsions, POLYCOL® CROSSOVER does not suffer from solvent lock, making it easy to reclaim. This pre-sensitized emulsion is ready for use and has an approximate viscosity of 10,000 mPas, 38% solids, and a red appearance. When stored under recommended conditions, it has an approximate 18-month shelf life at 68°F (20°C). Protect the emulsion against freezing.
Before coating, thoroughly clean and degrease the screen mesh to ensure proper adhesion. Apply the emulsion using a quality Scoop Coater and allow coated screens to dry completely before exposure. Establish proper exposure using a 10-Step Exposure Guide or Exposure Calculator based on your mesh count, coating thickness, and exposure unit.
After printing, reclaim screens using a quality Emulsion Remover following the manufacturer's recommendations.
