Franmar STRIP•e•doo Emulsion Remover Quart is designed to penetrate and dissolve all types of emulsion and capillary film without weakening screen printing mesh. Its natural, biodegradable formula provides an effective solution for reclaiming screens while combining emulsion removal and degreasing properties in one product.
STRIP•e•doo features a built-in degreaser to help streamline the screen reclaiming process. The formula also provides a useful visual indicator by changing color from white to brown when it is no longer active, helping screen printers identify when the product has finished working.
For application, wet the screen and pour or spray a small amount of STRIP•e•doo onto the front side. Scrub briefly with a dedicated scrub pad, repeat the process on the back side, and allow the product to work for at least 30 seconds before scrubbing both sides again. Do not allow the product to dry on the screen. Finish by rinsing both sides clean with pressurized water. A spray bottle can also be used for better product distribution.
STRIP•e•doo is effective on emulsions, films, and stencils and can be incorporated into a regular screen reclaiming workflow. When working with high mesh counts or halftones, additional degreasing may be necessary. Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Q: Emulsion Remover is taking off some of my emulsion, but not all of it. Is the Emulsion Remover bad?
A: If the emulsion is not coming off in the thicker areas (generally the sides where the scoop coater leaves thick edges), try using more Emulsion Remover or more scrubbing. If the emulsion is not coming off in certain areas of the screen, a few different things may be occurring. First, the Emulsion Remover might be past its shelf life of 6 to 9 months. Emulsion Remover will begin to turn a light to rusty brown color when it has reached its shelf life. Second, there may be an under-curing or over-curing problem with the emulsion. Test to make sure the emulsion is being properly exposed. Third, some "hot" solvents used in cleaning (paint thinners and mineral spirits, for example) can begin to lock in emulsion.
