Triangle Ink 1180-51 Curable Reducer / Detackifier is a premium plastisol ink additive engineered to reduce ink viscosity and surface tack while maintaining proper curing characteristics. Developed primarily for use with Triangle white plastisol inks, it quickly improves ink flow with only small additions, making difficult-to-print white inks easier to manage during production. It is also compatible with Triangle Tri-Flex 1100 Series and Sta-True 1700 Series plastisol inks for additional printing versatility.
Designed for professional screen printers, 1180-51 helps improve printability during both manual and automatic printing by reducing ink buildup on the underside of the screen and improving wet-on-wet performance. When used at the recommended 10% by weight, it significantly lowers viscosity while maintaining excellent opacity. Higher addition rates of up to 15% may be used when additional reduction is required, although excessive amounts can reduce ink opacity.
For best production results, mix thoroughly into the plastisol ink before printing. Screen mesh, emulsion selection, and cure temperature should match the plastisol ink being modified. Triangle Ink recommends using a 60–70 durometer squeegee, storing the product between 65°F and 90°F, and keeping containers tightly sealed when not in use. Clean screens and tools with an eco-friendly plastisol screen wash after printing.
