Ulano Proclaim® Dual Cure Emulsion is a multi-purpose diazo-photopolymer (dual-cure) screen printing emulsion formulated to provide unequalled exposure latitude, ease of decoating, and good acutance, even when underexposed or used with aggressive inks and washup solvents. With 37% solids, it provides good stencil build per coat, excellent mesh bridging, fast drying, superb coating properties, and excellent durability. It resists all solvent-based inks and water-based UV-Cured inks while providing excellent latitude resolution, and edge definition. Ulano Proclaim® is light blue before sensitizing and changes to light green after the diazo sensitizer is added. Following exposure and washout, properly exposed non-image areas return to their original light blue color, providing a visual indication of proper exposure. After sensitizing, the emulsion has an approximate 4–6 week shelf life, while coated screens have an approximate 4-week shelf life.
Before coating, thoroughly clean and degrease the screen mesh to ensure proper adhesion. Apply the emulsion using a quality Scoop Coater, then allow coated screens to dry completely before exposure. Establish proper exposure using a 10-Step Exposure Guide or Exposure Calculator based on your mesh count, coating thickness, and exposure unit.
After printing, reclaim screens using a quality Emulsion Remover following the manufacturer's recommendations.
