KIWOCOL Poly-Plus ER (Tack Free) is a high solids diazo-photopolymer screen printing emulsion formulated to produce UV, solvent, and plastisol resistant stencils. With 42% solids, it provides rapid build with few coats, fast drying, smooth stencils, excellent resolution, and superior mesh bridging. It is suitable for close tolerance applications and is capable of reproducing the finest halftones, lettering, and designs.
KIWOCOL Poly-Plus ER (Tack Free) is uniquely formulated for extremely easy reclaiming. Its tack-free surface is compatible with inkjet film positives, provides quick, efficient screen peel, and helps reduce static build-up. The emulsion has an approximate viscosity of 9,000 mPas (unsensitized) and 3,000 mPas (sensitized). It is blue before sensitizing and changes to green after the diazo sensitizer is added. When stored under recommended conditions, the emulsion has an approximate one-year shelf life. Protect the emulsion against freezing. Once sensitized, the emulsion has an approximate 4–6 week pot life.
Before coating, thoroughly clean and degrease the screen mesh to ensure proper adhesion. Apply the emulsion using a quality Scoop Coater and allow coated screens to dry completely before exposure. Establish proper exposure using a 10-Step Exposure Guide or Exposure Calculator based on your mesh count, coating thickness, and exposure unit.
After printing, reclaim screens using a quality Emulsion Remover following the manufacturer's recommendations.
