Dye Migration Blocking DTF Powder is a specialty adhesive powder developed for DTF transfers applied to fabrics that are prone to dye migration or color bleed. Its anti-migration properties help reduce the movement of garment dyes into the printed transfer, helping whites and light colors maintain a cleaner, more accurate appearance after pressing.

Dye migration is especially common with polyester, heavily dyed fabrics, sublimated garments, camouflage patterns, plaid fabrics, and garments containing multiple dyed colors. Heat from the transfer process can reactivate certain fabric dyes, allowing them to migrate into the DTF image and discolor white or light-colored areas.

This gray anti-migration powder adds an additional barrier between the garment and the printed transfer to help significantly reduce this effect. For screen printers familiar with low-bleed inks and dye-blocking underbases, it addresses a similar production challenge in the DTF process.

With a particle size of approximately 80–200 microns, the powder is designed for consistent DTF adhesive application and curing. It is also OEKO-TEX® certified, making it a strong option for professional decorators looking for a performance-oriented powder for challenging garments.

  • Particle Size: 80-200 Microns
  • OEKO-Tex Certified
  • Appearance: Gray

Note: Always cure DTF Transfers in a well ventilated area. Wear a mask when handling adhesive powder to prevent inhalation, as it can be harmful.

Important Application Note

Dye migration varies significantly by garment, fabric construction, dye chemistry, transfer temperature, dwell time, and heat press settings.

Always test the complete transfer process on the actual garment before beginning production. Some highly migration-prone fabrics may require adjustments to transfer temperature, dwell time, or other production settings for best results.
