Learn More About International Coatings 7600 Series Plastisol Ink

              High-Performance Direct Print Plastisol Ink

International Coatings 7600 Series consists of non-phthalate, high-performance plastisol colors formulated for fast wet-on-wet textile printing. The series combines good opacity, low tack and a wide selection of popular colors for efficient production printing.

              FlexCure 275°F–325°F Cure Range

Standard 7600 Series colors offer a flexible cure range from approximately 275°F to 325°F. This allows printers to lower cure temperatures when needed while still providing the flexibility to cure at conventional plastisol temperatures. High Performance (HP) colors have a recommended cure range beginning at approximately 290°F.

              Recommended Fabrics

7600 Series inks are recommended for direct printing on 100% cotton and 50/50 cotton/polyester blends. When printing on dark garments, an appropriate underbase may be needed to achieve the desired opacity and color reproduction.

Mesh Counts for 7600 Series Ink

International Coatings recommends a broad mesh range of approximately 110 to 305 threads per inch depending on the artwork, ink deposit and printing application. The 7600 Series performs especially well for fine detail and halftone printing through finer mesh counts.

For additional information on balancing ink deposit, print detail and garment feel, see our Screen Printing Mesh Count Chart & Guide.

              Wet-on-Wet Printing and Production

The low-tack characteristics of 7600 Series inks make them well suited for wet-on-wet printing. During spot flashing, the ink should generally be gelled only enough to become dry to the touch without fully curing before subsequent colors are printed.

Printing 7600 Series on Dark Garments

An underbase is recommended when printing 7600 Series colors on dark fabrics. International Coatings recommends using a suitable white underbase and notes that finer mesh counts can help produce a softer hand and improve production efficiency.

              Screen and Squeegee Recommendations

7600 Series can be used with appropriate direct or indirect emulsions and capillary films. International Coatings recommends a sharp-edge 65–70 durometer squeegee. Excessive squeegee pressure should be avoided because it can drive ink too far into the fabric and reduce print quality.
