International Coatings 220 Puff Additive is a plastisol additive formulated to create a raised, dimensional puff effect when mixed with compatible screen printing inks. It provides an easy way to turn standard plastisol colors into specialty-effect inks for apparel and textile printing.
220 Puff Additive can be hand stirred into International Coatings 900, 6100, 7500, and 7600 Series inks. The recommended maximum addition is 10% to 15% by weight. Proper measurement and thorough mixing help produce consistent expansion and print results.
Because the additive modifies the characteristics of the base ink, mesh selection, cure temperature, and other printing parameters should follow the requirements of the plastisol ink being used. Always test the mixed ink and fabric before beginning a production run, particularly when using 220 Puff Additive with inks from another manufacturer.
