Franmar Aqua-Wash Water-Based Ink Remover is formulated specifically for cleaning water-based inks from screen printing screens. It breaks down dried water-based ink that can be difficult to remove during normal cleanup, helping screens return to production instead of being lost to dried ink buildup.
Aqua-Wash works with all types of water-based inks and is tough on high-pigment formulations. It also helps minimize mesh ghosting and can be used as a screen opener while the screen is still on press, providing additional cleaning capability during production.
The formula is low odor, non-caustic, 100% biodegradable, and drain safe. Its combination of dried-ink removal and screen-opening capabilities makes Aqua-Wash useful for shops that regularly print with water-based inks.
The 1-gallon size cleans up to 240 screens, providing a larger supply for regular screen cleaning and reclaiming. Aqua-Wash can be applied with a dedicated scrub pad or nylon brush before the screen is thoroughly rinsed with pressurized water. It should not be used to keep water-based ink wet in the screen during continuous printing.

Q: What kinds of emulsions are recommended for use with Franmar cleaners?
A: Most emulsions will work with Franmar's line of cleaners. Keep in mind that Franmar's environmentally friendly cleaners require the use of water during the clean-up process, so having an emulsion with some water resistantce is important.
Q: Franmar cleaners are softening my emulsion. Why?
A: One posible cause for this is that the emulsion is not fully cured. Another possibility is that it's not actually the cleaner softening the emulsion, but the water that is used to rinse the screen. The emulsion used needs to have some water resistance to it.
