A. THE ELEMENT TRAY SHOULD EXTEND UNTIL THE ELEMENT TRAY SWITCH IS ACTIVATED BY THE RETURN CAM. (FIG. 11)
B. TURN OFF THE HEAT SWITCH AND RUN THE FLASHBACK UNTIL IT FAULTS (STICKS IN THE EXTENDED POSITION).
C. USE A SCREWDRIVER TO REACH IN AND ACTIVATE THE SWITCH, IF THE ELEMENT RETRACTS THE SWITCH IS TOO LOW. RAISE THE SWITCH TO CORRECT THE CONDITION.
D. DISCONNECT THE 220V POWER LINE TO THE FLASHBACK OR TURN THE BREAKER OFF. IF THE POWER IS OFF, THE HEAT AND BLOWERS WILL NOT FUNCTION.
E. OPEN THE FLASHBACK CONTROL BOX.
F. DISCONNECT THE AIR SUPPLY TO THE FLASHBACK
G. INSIDE THE CONTROL BOX YOU WILL SEE TWO CLEAR PLASTIC RELAYS. UNPLUG THE PRIMARY RELAY ON THE RIGHT. (FIG. 12)
H. REFER TO FIG. 5, AND FIG. 6 FOR HOW TO USE AN OHM METER TO CHECK FOR AN OPEN OR CLOSED CIRCUIT.
I. HOLDING THE RED AND BLACK VOLTMETER PROBES ON TERMINALS 7 AND 8 OF THE PRIMARY LATCHING RELAY SOCKET(FIG. 14) CHECK FOR A CLOSED CIRCUIT WHEN THE ELEMENT SWITCH IS ACTIVATED BY CLICKING THE SWITCH. (FIG. 11) YOU SHOULD SHOW AN OPEN SWITCH IF THE ELEMENT SWITCH IS NOT ACTIVATED. (FIG. 13)
J. IF THE SWITCH IS NOT ACTIVATED YOU SHOULD SHOW AN OPEN SWITCH ON THE VOLTMETER.
