Discharge Special Plus White Ink produces the ultimate soft-hand feel by removing the dye from 100% cotton fabrics and replacing it with the color of the discharge ink printed. Discharge Special Plus White can also be used as an underbase for water-based or plastisol inks to create a softer print.
Discharge Special Plus White utilizes a unique liquid discharge activator, Discharge Activator SM (16% by weight), that allows the discharge ink to last for a minimum of 6 months after activation.
6 Month shelf-life ensures consistency from the first print to the last during long production runs and reduces costly spoilage.

Compatible Fabrics
100% Cotton
Cure Temperature
320°F (160°C) for 2 minutes
Mesh Count
Up to 255 t/in
Emulsion
Any direct or indirect water-resistant emulsion.
(Recommended: CP Tex Diazo Emulsion or DC521 Dual Cure Emulsion, for use with water-based and plastisol inks. ChromaTech WR Photopolymer Emulsion can be used for small production runs, generally under 500-1,000 imprints.)

70 or 60/90/60 Durometer, 25° Angle, Medium Print Speed
Clean-Up
Water can be used, but recommended process for clean-up is using ReadyWash™ Ink Degradent specifically designed for water-based and discharge inks. ReadyWash™ Ink Degradent reduces staining of the mesh and can break down dried water-based inks, allowing for an increase in screen longevity and savings on screen cost.
Suitable Additives
All additives listed are Formaldehyde and Phthalate Free.
- Reduce Viscosity: Add 3% of Hydra Reducer 120 E
- Improve Wash Resistance: Add 3% Universal Fix
- Further Slow Drying of Inks: Add 3-5% Hydracryl Retarder
Recommended Pallet Adhesive: ReadyTack™ Pallet Adhesive is liquid platen adhesive that is designed to be used with water-based, discharge and plastisol inks. Unlike other liquid platen adhesives on the market, ReadyTack™ is not a water-based product and will not break down during production when using water-based inks. ReadyTack™ is more cost-effective than aerosol adhesives and can be easily reactivated by applying heat from a flash cure unit.
Storage
Recommended storage at 65°F to 90°F (18°C to 32°C). Avoid storage in direct sunlight. Keep containers well sealed.
